The original: Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman EDP
The Parisian niche house's 10th-anniversary hit -- juicy pear and bright bergamot over a clean, glowing musky-woody base. Modern, expensive-feeling, and universally flattering.
| Dupe | Match | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Velixir Icarus EDP | 91% | $54 |
| Maison Asrar Legacy | 89% | $45 |
Blue Talisman EDP retails around $355.
How we score. Every percentage comes from cross-referencing note pyramids against Fragrantica and brand-official sources, then weighting what people who own both fragrances actually report. We don't publish anything below 85%, and we say when something barely clears.
#1Velixir Icarus EDP
Shares with the original: Pear, Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Orange Blossom, Georgywood, Ginger, Musk, Ambrofix, Akigalawood, Cedar
Note pyramid mirrors Blue Talisman EDP nearly identically -- all 8 signature molecules present including the proprietary-adjacent Georgywood, Ambrofix, and Akigalawood. Parfumo review confirms it "captures the Blue Talisman DNA surprisingly well."

#2Maison Asrar Legacy
Shares with the original: Pear, Ginger, Bergamot, Orange Blossom, Musk
A Parfumo reviewer who owns both puts it as plainly as anyone on this site: if you are looking for a one-to-one clone of Blue Talisman, this is it — and they get longer and better performance from the Legacy than from the original. They also name the hard part and say it is solved: that pear note is notoriously difficult to reproduce, and this comes very close. A Fragrantica reviewer who was unconvinced by Blue Talisman itself says Legacy is what made them fall for the DNA, describing it as more masculine and more spiced. Five shared notes, and the pear is the one that signs the original. Two honest caveats. Reviewers say ‘Blue Talisman' without specifying, and Legacy's notes fit the EDP and the Extrait about equally well — we have filed it on the EDP, which is what the unqualified name usually means. And one reviewer thinks it is barely distinguishable from Afnan Mystique Bouquet, which if true would make it less a Blue Talisman clone than a member of the same family. Now the serious counter, because one enthusiastic review is not a consensus. A Fragrantica reviewer who bought it from Jomashop — so not a counterfeit — finds it extremely light, with the fruit almost imperceptible and only a faint musky sweetness in the drydown, and says that if this is a one-to-one dupe of Blue Talisman then the hype for Blue Talisman is massively overblown. He calls it unremarkable rather than bad, and prefers Juliette Has a Gun Pear Inc. That is a direct contradiction of the review above it, from someone equally entitled to an opinion, and you should weigh both before spending.
