Rayhaan is the most consistent clone house we've researched. We put fifteen of their fragrances through the same process we use for every entry in our database: cross-reference the note pyramid against Fragrantica and brand-official sources, then weigh what people who own both fragrances actually report.
Twelve cleared our 85% floor. Three didn't. Here's all of it, starting with the answer.
| Rayhaan | Smells like | Match | Original |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lion | JPG Ultra Male | 91% | $120 |
| Wolf | Azzaro The Most Wanted EDP Intense | 91% | $95 |
| Aquatica | Creed Virgin Island Water | 91% | $345 |
| Pacific Aura | Louis Vuitton Pacific Chill | 89% | $300 |
| Divine | Louis Vuitton Attrape-Rêves | 89% | $350 |
| Tiger | Penhaligon's Halfeti | 88% | $265 |
| Nocturno | Dior Sauvage EDP | 87% | $140 |
| Italia | Xerjoff Naxos | 87% | $295 |
| Adonis Icarus | Louis Vuitton Afternoon Swim | 87% | $360 |
| Nocturno Elixir | Bleu de Chanel L'Exclusif | 86% | $275 |
| Terra | Amouage Outlands | 85% | $475 |
| Crimson | Creed Centaurus | 85% | $560 |
Most Rayhaan bottles run $30–45. Yellow percentages sit exactly at our floor — see tier two.
🟢 Where Rayhaan Is Genuinely Excellent
Ten of the twelve sit comfortably above our floor. These are the ones where the note pyramid holds up and people who own both fragrances struggle to separate them.
1 · The 91% Trio — Lion, Wolf, Aquatica
Lion → Ultra Male · Wolf → TMW EDP Intense · Aquatica → Virgin Island Water
Aquatica is the one to notice. Virgin Island Water is a $345 Creed, and reviewers who own both consistently report they can't separate them in the air. That's roughly a tenfold price gap on a fragrance people actually recognise.
Lion is the safest blind buy of the three — Ultra Male is one of the most-cloned fragrances in existence, so there's a deep well of comparison to draw on, and Lion sits at the top of it.
2 · The Louis Vuitton Cluster — Pacific Aura, Divine, Adonis Icarus
Three clones of a house almost nobody attempts
There's a structural reason these land high. Louis Vuitton's Cologne line is deliberately minimal — built from a handful of molecules rather than a dense pyramid. Hit those few notes and you've done most of the job. A dense niche composition is far harder to reproduce than a spare one.
They also outlast their targets. LV's colognes are famously fleeting. Multiple reviewers report the Rayhaan versions projecting longer than the originals — an unusual case where the alternative beats the source on performance.
Divine deserves separate mention. It's Rayhaan's first women's fragrance to clear our floor, and it clones Attrape-Rêves — a $350 bottle almost no clone house has touched.
3 · The Designer Workhorses — Nocturno, Italia, Tiger, Nocturno Elixir
86–88% against Sauvage EDP, Naxos, Halfeti and BdC L'Exclusif
Italia is the value pick of the group. ScentClones ranks it the closest Naxos clone available, and a Fragrantica owner comparing both rates the mid-to-drydown at 92–95%. The opening leans slightly more synthetic than the Xerjoff — that's the gap.
Nocturno Elixir is the interesting one: it targets Bleu de Chanel L'Exclusif, a 2025 release most clone houses haven't reached yet. A reviewer on L'Exclusif's own Fragrantica page names it unprompted as the closest thing to buy.
🟡 Real, But Read the Fine Print
Both of these clear 85% and both earn their place. They're also the two where you're most likely to notice you didn't buy the original.
4 · Terra → Amouage Outlands
Rayhaan Terra
On paper Terra looks like a near-perfect clone — its published note list matches Outlands almost exactly. We deliberately didn't let that raise the score. Published notes are marketing descriptions, not formulas, and a clone house can list a target's notes without matching its materials.
What owners of both actually say is the useful part. One reviewer holding an Outlands sample reports the drydown is "almost identical." Another is blunter: "Outlands has way more depth and layers... with Terra I get very flat dry down. After half an hour, I just smell cumin and light incense."
Outlands is a 30% extrait aged six months. Terra is a $35 EDP. What holds this at the floor rather than below it: every criticism is about depth, not identity. Nobody says it smells like a different fragrance. You're getting the shape of Outlands without its resolution.
5 · Crimson → Creed Centaurus
Rayhaan Crimson
Seven shared molecules, including Centaurus's entire base of tonka, benzoin and bourbon vanilla, plus its cardamom-cinnamon-pink pepper opening.
But Crimson has no tobacco — and tobacco is what Creed leads with. Their own copy describes Centaurus as burning bright with "plumes of incandescent tobacco." Crimson also drops the floral heart entirely. One reviewer closes the gap by layering tobacco and honey from another bottle, which tells you the gap is real.
The honest split: if tobacco is why you love Centaurus, this won't replace it. If it's the spiced vanilla-tonka warmth you're after, it gets you most of the way there for a fiftieth of the price.
🔴 The Three That Didn't Make It
These aren't bad fragrances. They're fragrances aimed slightly wrong — which is a different thing, and worth saying plainly.
Imperia → Creed Aventus — 84%, missed by one point
Marketed against Aventus, but the pineapple, blackcurrant and birch that are Aventus aren't there. It's a pleasant fruity-woody fragrance. It just isn't that one. Close isn't the same as close enough, and one point below the floor is still below the floor.
Rayhaan Elixir → Le Male Elixir — 82%
The tell was reviewers recommending you layer it with something else to get closer to the target. A dupe that needs a second bottle isn't a dupe. We've applied the same reasoning elsewhere — it's what downgraded Turathi Electric during our Blue Talisman research.
Obsidian → Dior Homme Parfum — shelved entirely
This one is a judgment call rather than a scoring failure. Obsidian is genuinely good against the 2014 formulation of Dior Homme Parfum — which Dior discontinued. The 2025 replacement is a different fragrance: no leather, no rose, no cedar.
We can't rate a clone against a bottle you can't buy. Obsidian stays out until the new version develops its own dupe conversation.
One more worth knowing: Corium is mislabelled everywhere
Rayhaan Corium is widely listed as a Stronger With You Intensely clone. It isn't. It targets Stronger With You Leather, and the chestnut note gives it away — chestnut belongs to the Absolutely and Leather side of that family, not Intensely.
It's a good fragrance pointed at a different bottle than most listings claim. If you bought it expecting Intensely, that's why it didn't smell right.
What We Actually Think
Rayhaan's hit rate is unusually high — twelve of fifteen is better than most houses manage — and the misses are honest misses. Imperia and Elixir are decent fragrances aimed slightly off-target, not deceptions.
If you're starting: Aquatica for the biggest price gap, Lion for the safest blind buy, Divine if you're shopping women's fragrance.
If you're weighing Terra or Crimson: both sit exactly at our floor. They earn their place, and they're also the two where the distance from the original is most likely to show.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best Rayhaan dupe?
Three tie at 91%: Lion (JPG Ultra Male), Wolf (Azzaro The Most Wanted EDP Intense) and Aquatica (Creed Virgin Island Water). Aquatica represents the largest price gap — a $345 Creed for around $35.
Are Rayhaan fragrances good quality?
Rayhaan has an unusually high hit rate. Of fifteen fragrances we researched, twelve cleared our 85% similarity floor. The three that failed were honest misses aimed slightly wrong rather than misleading products.
Which Rayhaan fragrances didn't make the cut?
Imperia missed at 84% against Creed Aventus — the pineapple, blackcurrant and birch that define Aventus are absent. Rayhaan Elixir reached 82% against Le Male Elixir. Obsidian was shelved because its target, Dior Homme Parfum 2014, was discontinued and the 2025 reformulation is a compositionally different fragrance.
Is Rayhaan Corium a Stronger With You Intensely dupe?
No. Corium targets Emporio Armani Stronger With You Leather, not Intensely. The chestnut note identifies it. A great many listings label it incorrectly.
Where can I buy Rayhaan fragrances?
It varies by fragrance. Several are on Amazon, some are stocked by FragranceNet, and others are only available through Jomashop or Rayhaan directly. Each entry in our database lists only retailers we've verified stock the correct bottle — if a link is missing, it's because we couldn't confirm one.
