Another owner: 'Probably the best aventus absolu on the market. Smell is basically 1:1.' BEST PRICE AT JOMASHOP (~$45) -- limited Amazon availability. Released 2025 as part of Maison Asrar Royal Collection. Read the dissent, because this entry previously carried only the praise and that was not the whole picture. The same Fragrantica page holds a blunt negative from an owner who tested it over two days and concluded it smells like exactly what it cost, and who argues the performance is inexcusable at this price — not even matching Regent and Majesty from the same collection. A third commenter openly accuses one of the enthusiastic reviews of being paid. We cannot verify that either way. Every one of High Roller's nine notes appears in Aventus Absolu — the blackcurrant and grapefruit opening, the cardamom-ginger-cinnamon heart, the pink pepper and patchouli underneath. It is a subset rather than a reinterpretation. The reason it sits at 88 rather than higher comes from an owner who is refreshingly direct about it: this is not going to go one to one with Aventus Absolu, and he would describe it instead as an Elixir version of the original Aventus — more fruity and thicker than either. That is a useful way to hold it. What Absolu has and this does not is the pineapple, the rose, the oakmoss and the birch-smoke complexity that make the Creed expensive; what you get instead is the bright spiced citrus done well and cheaply. Owners of several fragrances in this line consistently rate the range highly and report longevity beyond the originals.
