How we score. Every percentage comes from cross-referencing note pyramids against Fragrantica and brand-official sources, then weighting what people who own both fragrances actually report. We don't publish anything below 85%, and we say when something barely clears.
#1Armaf Ventana Pour Homme
Shares with the original: Lavender, Geranium, Cedar, Ambroxan
Highest independent-source consensus of any Sauvage dupe -- Fragrantica forum users comparing side-by-side call it "97.5% similar" in the dry-down and "essentially indistinguishable" from Sauvage. Its published pyramid lacks pepper and ambroxan on paper, but owners who compared the two consistently report that the peppery ambroxan character is there in the air. Best-known and most widely recommended Sauvage clone in the community since 2018.

#2Afnan Modest Une Pour Homme
Shares with the original: Pepper, Lavender, Ambroxan, Cedar
Gadgetmix dedicated head-to-head review confirms it is "indistinguishable" from Dior Sauvage in the air. Parfumo reviewers rate it "90% similar" and "Dior Sauvage EDT for 20 euros." Fragrantica community consistently names Modest Une as one of the best Sauvage clones alongside Ventana, with the added benefit of superior presentation and better longevity.

#3Dossier Aromatic Star Anise
Shares with the original: Bergamot, Pepper, Lavender, Geranium, Patchouli, Vetiver
Recognisably Sauvage and one of the easiest dupes to find — but simpler than the original, and we revised its score from 92 to 87 in October 2026 because owners disagree more than the old number allowed. On its side, a long-time Sauvage owner reviewing on Walmart calls it almost completely indistinguishable, with the only difference being that it does not last as long, and a Fragrantica reviewer reckons nearly anyone who knows Sauvage would guess that is what you are wearing. Basenotes puts it more carefully: a fair dupe with all the facets of the original, just not the same longevity or sillage. Against it, another Fragrantica reviewer finds Sauvage pushed in a soapier direction, with the star anise adding a sweeter, licorice edge, and some Walmart buyers find it more floral and short-lived. The one thing everyone agrees on is performance: expect to reapply. Worth knowing too that star anise is a note from Sauvage Eau de Parfum, not the original Eau de Toilette, which may be why some owners say its drydown drifts toward the EDP.

#4Maison Alhambra Salvo EDP
Shares with the original: Bergamot, Lavender, Pepper, Ambroxan
Note pyramid is a near 1-to-1 match with Dior Sauvage EDT -- Bergamot, Sichuan Pepper, Lavender, Star Anise, and Ambroxan are all present in both. Community consensus is that scent DNA is captured accurately, though quality feels "weaker/lighter" and "more citrusy" than the original per side-by-side comparisons. Sits at the 85% floor honestly -- a real dupe, but the closest of the four to the cutoff. Best value pick at ~$16.
